About the role

Lead scoping, architecture and direction as the Forward Deployed Engineering team embeds with customers to modernize their data and application ecosystems on Snowflake, partnering with clients to design, build, and implement cutting-edge data solutions on the Snowflake AI Data Cloud.

Responsibilities

  • Migration Project Execution: Set architecture and direction for the team as it designs, builds, and deploys robust software systems, tooling, and automation to support customer solutions on Snowflake.
  • Software Development: Contribute to product through prototyping, feature development, and problem-solving to impact the roadmap and product depth.
  • Client Collaboration and Enablement: Provide expert technical guidance, mentorship, and training to client teams on Snowflake, including data management, analytics, AI/ML capabilities, and BI integration.
  • Platform Implementation: Design scalable data pipelines and modern data architectures on Snowflake; ensure data quality, integrity, and efficient processing in the customer environment.
  • Performance Optimization & Best Practices: Analyze and optimize data models, queries, and workflows to maximize performance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness; champion Snowflake best practices.
  • Modern Data Solutions: Evaluate and implement modern data integration tools and techniques suitable for Snowflake ecosystem to evolve customer data capabilities.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Identify and resolve technical challenges, performance bottlenecks, and operational issues.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience working with customers on complex, multi-faceted projects.
  • Big plus: prior experience delivering complex data-driven application migrations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Python, Go, Java or C++.
  • Experience with developing AI/ML applications.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing & data lake concepts, and cloud data platforms.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a client-facing environment.
  • Travel up to 20% of the time to collaborate with teams and stakeholders.
