About the role

Independent contractor role for healthcare professionals to design and evaluate AI-enabled healthcare tasks and datasets. Remote, US-only, asynchronous work with rolling start and 10+ hours/week.

Responsibilities

  • Build realistic, fully fictional patient and operational records from provided scenarios (clinical notes, lab/imaging reports, medication lists, orders, nursing assessments, care plans, coding worksheets, prior authorization requests, claims and denial letters).
  • Write task requests that specify deliverables and how uncertainty/assumptions should be handled.
  • Solve each task end to end and document a reference solution with clinical or operational reasoning behind every step.
  • Write precise scoring criteria ensuring consistent grading by independent graders, including acceptable alternative answers and safety considerations.
  • Check own and peers' tasks for clinical accuracy and ambiguity.
  • Incorporate reviewer feedback within agreed turnaround times and flag guideline gaps or edge cases.
  • Explain to the research team how work in the area is actually done (steps, documents, roles, pain points).
  • Review scenarios and documents produced by the team and flag unrealities for practitioners.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in at least one of the listed healthcare areas (physician, NP, PA, RN, pharmacist, or medical coding/bactoring/authorization roles).
  • Current or past licensure or certification (e.g., MD, DO, NP, PA, RN, PharmD, CCM, CPC, CCS, CRCR).
  • Working knowledge of guidelines, criteria and documentation standards in the relevant area (clinical guidelines, nursing standards, formulary/dosing references, ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT coding, payer policies).
  • Careful reading and evidence-backed conclusions.
  • Clear, precise writing in professional English.
  • Ability to work independently and asynchronously against deadlines.
