About the role

Engineering Manager role at Candid Health leading cross-functional teams to plan, execute, and deliver the Candid platform for healthcare provider customers. Responsible for technical strategy, architecture, product collaboration, mentoring, and delivering high-quality, scalable solutions within a mission-critical revenue cycle management platform.

Responsibilities

  • Owning engineering practice, responsible for building and maintaining critical services and features
  • Leading teams in planning, prioritization, tracking, through delivery of impactful results
  • Supporting teams in achieving and preserving a high level of technical quality, reliability, and developer satisfaction
  • Influencing partners and peers to identify obstacles to delivery and improve on products while eliminating friction and redundancies
  • Make data driven decisions on your sphere of ownership to continually improve reliability, performance, scale, and reduce operational load
  • Diving deep into software architecture, leveraging domain knowledge to achieve business objectives
  • Recruiting exceptional engineers and managers in collaboration with Talent Acquisition
  • Mentor and coach direct reports and others to build healthy, well-executing teams that scale with the business
  • Define product technical strategy in partnership with company and product leadership to design systems, architecture, and processes to hit objectives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math or related field
  • 6+ years of experience in a Software Engineering Leadership position (technical lead, manager, or manager of managers)
  • Track record of shipping high-quality features in strategic product areas and managing ambitious roadmaps
  • Excellent technical decision making; knowledge of architecture and patterns for durable, maintainable product
  • Experience managing in multiple directions and collaborating with staffing partners and stakeholders
  • Experience interviewing, hiring, and mentoring product-focused engineering teams
  • Clear and concise communicator with ability to explain complex ideas simply
