About the role

Senior backend software engineer to design, implement, and scale distributed back-end systems at Eight Sleep, with a focus on data pipelines, service reliability, and cross-system integration for the Pod and related technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve the integrity of our data processing pipeline (5Tb per day)
  • Develop tools to guarantee the availability of our services (~30 microservices) and automate their operation
  • Contribute to the development of back-end services and product features

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience
  • 5+ years of experience as a backend/SRE
  • Language polyglot, advanced experience with at least 2 of C# (.NET core), Python, NodeJS+TypeScript
  • Experience with distributed systems
  • Familiarity with AWS Kinesis and DynamoDB
