Responsibilities
- Lead efforts to reconcile transactions across multiple financial providers, including Stripe, Highnote, Checkbook, and JPMorgan, ensuring accuracy and consistency across systems.

- Partner with our external ledger provider, Fragment, to build a reliable system capable of powering billions of transactions with speed and integrity.
- Design and implement new money movement flows across a variety of payment rails—including push-to-card and wire transfers—optimizing for cost, speed, and reliability.
- Own critical backend & platform projects end-to-end—from design to production ops.
- Push architecture that scales to billions in annual payment volume and real-time risk controls.
- Work closely with product and GTM leads to turn ambiguous problems into elegant code.
Qualifications
- Have 5+ years of professional experience building B2B or B2C SaaS products (FinTech, payments, or marketplace a plus).
- Prior payments or back office fintech experience is a plus
- Thrive in zero-bureaucracy, high-ownership environments.
- Balance speed with rigor—automated tests, clean abstractions, clear docs.
- Can dive deep into code (we use React, Ruby, Postgres—but great engineers pick up tools fast).
- Communicate crisply across time zones.
- This role is required to be in office 4 days/week (Mon-Thurs) either in San Francisco Bay Area or Montreal

About AtoB
Rebuilding global transportation payments.
The trucking and logistics industry provides the backbone of the economy, but the payments infrastructure on which it runs is broken; the existing suite of payment tools is outdated, difficult to use, prone to fraud, and saddled with hidden fee structures. AtoB is building Stripe for Transportation — modernizing the payments infrastructure for trucking and logistics, where capital movement occurs quickly and transparently. Our flagship product is the AtoB Fuel Card, a zero-fee fuel card accepted anywhere built for fleets of all shapes and sizes.
