About the role

Bilingual Japanese-English actor to appear in app-based video lessons as a language teacher. Deliver pre-written scripts explaining language concepts and phrases for learners. Lessons are non-live but interactive, with questions and various learner response paths.

Responsibilities

  • Act in app-based video lessons as a language teacher, delivering pre-written scripts explaining language concepts and phrases for learners.
  • Sit behind a table facing the camera and deliver the scripts.
  • Record teaching performance that will be shown in the app along with practice opportunities for users.
  • Follow scripts that include questions to the user and multiple response paths based on performance.

Qualifications

  • Must be bilingual in Japanese and English.
  • Native or heritage Japanese speakers strongly preferred; those who learned Japanese only in school will not qualify.
  • Japanese to be delivered with a neutral Japanese accent.
  • English speaking without an accent.
