About the role

Versatile product engineer responsible for end-to-end ownership of substantial parts of Ashby products, shaping product specs, wireframes, and implementation across the stack in a fast-growing, low-meeting, high-ownership environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build automated interview scheduling features and other product capabilities end-to-end
  • Research competitors, write product specs, create wireframes, and drive features from concept to deployment
  • Develop a generalized declarative filter architecture that translates to SQL on the backend
  • Collaborate with product and design to spec and implement customer-facing features (e.g., signing offers within Ashby)
  • Ship features at a high pace with ownership and minimal meetings, contributing to both frontend and backend work

Qualifications

  • Experience as a product engineer or full-stack engineer capable of owning large parts of a product
  • Ability to write product specs, wireframes, and prototype ideas
  • Comfort with both frontend and backend development and making architectural decisions
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with stakeholders across teams
  • Ambition to improve skills, take ownership, and deliver high-quality software
