Customer Education Program Manager, Live Learning
About the role
Lead the live-learning customer education program at Ashby, shaping strategy and execution for live sessions, workshops, and recordings. Own end-to-end delivery, improve processes, and partner with Marketing, CEPMs, and Startup CSMs/RecOps to scale live learning.
Responsibilities
- Own the Customer Success live-learning program, bringing existing programs together under a shared calendar, planning process, and consistent customer experience. Establish a clear process for evaluating, prioritizing, and developing new ideas.
- Make sessions easier to run. Own registration, reminders, session setup, presenter preparation, live production, surveys, follow-up, and recording handoffs. Build reusable templates and clear operating practices that reduce repeated work.
- Design learning around customer needs. Partner with presenters and Customer Education Program Managers to define the audience, intended outcome, format, and supporting resources. Develop session outlines, exercises, facilitator guides, and other materials that help customers apply what they learn.
- Help experts become effective presenters. Define what a high-quality session looks like, run rehearsals, coach presenters, and improve how sessions handle questions, participation, pacing, and mixed experience levels.
- Host and facilitate selected sessions. Lead or co-facilitate learning where it serves the program, moderate questions and activities, model effective teaching, and help test new formats. Build a program that supports multiple presenters rather than depending on you to teach every session.
- Own the live-learning recording library. Make useful sessions easy to find and learn from after the live event. Decide what to publish, how to organize it, and when to refresh or retire it. Partner with Academy operations on publishing and with presenters and CEPMs on accuracy, supporting resources, and opportunities to turn sessions into other learning formats.
- Make sessions easy to discover and join. Work with Marketing on the website experience, audience communications, packaging, and connections to broader programs. Give customers a clear way to find the right session and their next learning step.
- Measure and improve the program. Track registration, attendance, engagement, learner feedback, and operational effort. Define the product behavior each program is intended to support and work with partners to assess whether customers take action.
- Expand deliberately. Use customer needs and program evidence to recommend additional audiences and formats, including onboarding sessions, RecOps clinics, applied workshops, and customer spotlights.
Qualifications
- Owned recurring live education or comparable customer-facing program and demonstrated improvements in usefulness, reliability, or scalability.
- Experience in customer education, product training, customer success, enablement, learning design, or webinar program management with strong operational ownership and customer-focused mindset.
- Proven ability to manage recurring work, calendars, contributors, deadlines, and dependencies while maintaining a consistent customer experience.
- Experience helping others learn complex material with clear explanations and practical applicability.
- Comfort with facilitating live sessions and guiding participation.
- Ability to coach experts to turn deep knowledge into accessible learning experiences.
- Willingness to learn products firsthand, explore workflows, and validate understanding with experts when needed.
- Operational experience with webinar/virtual-learning platforms, registrations, communications, recordings, surveys, and reporting; familiarity with HubSpot or equivalent is a plus.
- Strong sense of ownership to assess programs, decide what to keep/change/build next, and drive work with partners.
- Evidence-driven approach using learner feedback to assess impact.

Benefits

- Unlimited PTO with four weeks recommended per year.

- US health insurance with premiums covered for employee and dependents.

About Ashby
All-in-one recruiting platform that empowers hiring excellence in…
At Ashby, we're improving the productivity of working professionals with intelligent and powerful software. We put a lot of effort into designing products that are approachable to beginners but mastered & extended by power users. In many ways, spreadsheets set the bar here. Our first products provide talent teams with clever automation, powerful analytics tools, and customizable workflows packaged in great UX. We have many paying customers who love us and use us every day like Opendoor, Airtable, Duolingo, and Notion. Notion's Head of Talent said Ashby is "probably the tool we are in the most and rely on the most, as a recruiting team." Our culture is motivated by Abhik's (my co-founder and Head of Engineering) and my belief that a small talented team, given the right environment, can build a great product and service fast (and work regular hours!). We hire exceptional, kind, thoughtful people and provide an environment where we can be happy, feel challenged, and do our best work. We are well funded and backed by great investors, including Y Combinator, Elad Gil, and Lachy Groom. We'll share more once we meet!
