Senior Full-Stack Engineer
About the role
Senior full-stack engineering role at Clarion, an early-stage healthcare AI startup building an AI-driven multichannel communication layer. In-person, New York-based. Role focuses on leading deployment, architecture, and scale of AI-enabled workflows integrated with EHRs and real-time voice infrastructure, with HIPAA-compliant practices.
Responsibilities
- Lead deployment and optimization of AI agents in live healthcare environments, owning end-to-end performance and reliability.
- Architect and scale full-stack systems that integrate with complex EHRs, legacy healthcare platforms, and real-time voice infrastructure.
- Drive technical strategy for customer-facing solutions, translating client needs into scalable architecture.
- Mentor engineers and enforce best practices in code quality, testing, security, and HIPAA-compliant development.
- Shape product roadmap by identifying systemic challenges in customer workflows and proposing high-leverage technical solutions.
- Own critical integrations and troubleshoot production issues across distributed systems under strict uptime and compliance requirements.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of full-stack engineering experience in high-reliability environments (technical leadership).
- Expert-level proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, React, PostgreSQL, with strong system design skills.
- Experience designing, building, and scaling production systems; ability to debug complex distributed systems.
- Leadership & communication experience mentoring engineers and leading cross-functional initiatives.
