About the role

Construction Equipment Engineer – Planning & Coordination responsible for identifying, managing, and coordinating equipment needs across multiple construction projects to ensure optimal equipment availability and integration with project schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with project teams (start-up and ongoing projects) to assess and identify equipment requirements for various construction activities.
  • Develop and maintain short- and long-term equipment planning schedules, aligned with project timelines.
  • Proactively gather and verify information from construction sites to ensure accurate and up-to-date planning.
  • Coordinate between construction sites, project stakeholders, and equipment resources to optimise utilisation and availability.
  • Identify equipment procurement needs or opportunities to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Integrate equipment planning into overall project schedules, ensuring smooth interaction across teams.
  • Use planning tools and methodologies such as Primavera, MS Project, and LEAN to manage equipment schedules effectively.
  • Maintain clear, assertive communication with colleagues and stakeholders to share relevant information and ensure efficient decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Strong general knowledge of construction sites, operations, and specialised equipment, particularly in building, civil, and infrastructure works.
  • Solid experience in equipment planning, logistics, or related fields within the construction industry.
  • Proficiency with planning software such as Primavera, MS Project, and LEAN methodologies.
  • Excellent coordination and organisational skills to manage multiple projects and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to optimise equipment utilisation.
  • Highly communicative, proactive, and assertive in engaging with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced construction environment.
