About the role

Lead and manage end-to-end carrier integration programs at Shippo, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and reliable API integrations with carriers worldwide, in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end program strategy for Shippo’s carrier integration portfolio, including new integrations, API upgrades, and capability rollouts.
  • Drive execution of complex, multi-team initiatives involving R&D, carrier partnerships, GTM, finance, and operations.
  • Define and track KPIs for integration quality, delivery predictability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Partner with Engineering Managers and tech leads to ensure architectural decisions align with program goals and long-term health.
  • Establish best practices for building and upgrading carrier integrations (API patterns, reliability standards, onboarding playbooks).
  • Drive adoption of reusable frameworks and toolkits to improve consistency and speed.
  • Develop governance models and reporting structures for visibility into integration health, performance, and risks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • 8 to 10 years total experience, including 5+ years in technical program management focused on API/platform integrations.
  • Proven ability to manage complex technical projects from concept to delivery, coordinating across teams.
  • Strong understanding of API integrations and related standards (OAuth, webhooks).
  • Experience with data analysis for prioritization and scoping.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and tools (JIRA, Confluence).
