About the role
Responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing across Malaysia and overseas entities, managing end-to-end payroll, statutory submissions, vendor coordination, and process improvement.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and process monthly payroll for Malaysia and other countries.
- Validate all payroll inputs including new joiners, resignations, allowances, shifts, claims, incentives, deductions, attendance, OT.
- Work closely with HR Ops, HRBP, and Finance to ensure data accuracy.
- Manage statutory contributions and submissions (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, LHDN, income tax).
- Ensure payroll processes comply with labour laws and regulations across countries.
- Conduct payroll reconciliations, error checks, and manage audits.
- Process salary adjustments, promotions, bonuses, allowances, incentives, ad-hoc payments.
- Manage payroll vendors, regional payroll partners, and EOR service providers.
- Identify and implement process improvements, automation, and SOP enhancements.
- Prepare payroll reports, maintain documentation, and support financial forecasting.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of payroll experience, preferably multi-country or regional.
- Strong understanding of Malaysian payroll laws and statutory requirements.
- Experience with payroll systems and HRIS tools.
- High attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage confidential information professionally.
- Stakeholder management skills, coordinating with HR, Finance, vendors, and leadership.
