About the role

Builds, deploys, and optimizes AI/ML models to improve user experience and system efficiency for BJAK's financial and insurance platforms across Southeast Asia.

Responsibilities

  • Work with product, data, and engineering teams to define ML goals and technical strategies.
  • Design, build, and deploy machine learning models that support personalization, automation, and insights.
  • Manage the entire ML lifecycle: data preprocessing, feature engineering, model training, evaluation, deployment.
  • Build scalable ML infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
  • Integrate ML model outputs into user-facing products and backend systems.
  • Stay current with AI/ML trends and incorporate innovations into company stack.
  • Participate in debugging, testing, and optimizing production ML systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in machine learning or backend software development.
  • Strong proficiency in Python.
  • Experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
  • Solid understanding of ML workflows: data cleaning, model development, parameter tuning, and evaluation.
  • Experience with model deployment, API development, or ML integration in business environments.
  • Experience with tools like Google Colab, Jupyter Notebook, or cloud ML platforms.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Must be based in China and willing to work remotely across time zones.
