About the role

A role responsible for managing financial activities, ensuring accurate recording and reporting, and supporting decision-making within a digital insurance platform based in Malaysia.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely processing of accounting transactions including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger entries.
  • Ensure timely issuance of invoices and filing of tax returns while maintaining compliance.
  • Collaborate with various departments to set up process flows, financial reports, and information.
  • Check the completeness and accuracy of financial information and reports.
  • Assist in month-end closing and prepare financial disclosures.
  • Adhere to accounting standards, tax requirements, and company policies.
  • Assist in external and internal audits.
  • Support continuous improvements in work processes.
  • Provide financial insights to management for decision-making.
  • Perform ad hoc assignments as requested.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree / Professional qualification in Finance / Accountancy / Banking or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of working experience in accounting and auditing.
