About the role
Lead regulatory strategy and government engagement to support BJAK's expansion and compliance in Southeast Asia.
Responsibilities
- Own the regulatory roadmap, securing licenses and approvals for business objectives and market entries.
- Represent BJAK as the primary liaison, influencing policy and negotiating with government officials and regulators.
- Translate growth plans into proactive, compliant, and scalable regulatory strategies for new markets.
- Serve as a strategic advisor on regulatory risks, providing solutions proactively.
- Lead interactions with government bodies, negotiating licenses and advocating policies.
- Develop and execute regulatory strategies for new market entry and projects across SEA.
- Manage lifecycle of licenses and permits, ensuring compliance and renewals.
- Monitor and interpret regulatory changes globally, providing strategic advice.
- Partner with Legal, Product, and Leadership teams to embed regulatory requirements.
- Represent BJAK at industry forums and consultations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in Government Relations, Regulatory Affairs, or Licensing.
- Proven success in leading regulatory negotiations and managing approvals in multi-jurisdictional environments.
- Deep knowledge of Malaysian government licensing and regulatory frameworks.
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Public Administration, or related fields.
