About the role

Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive Quality Management System for Yubico's global production and fulfillment operations, ensuring security, quality, and compliance with ISO standards.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and drive the implementation of a scalable Quality Management System (QMS) according to ISO 9001 standards.
  • Accelerate and structure the ongoing transition from tribal knowledge to documented, auditable, and repeatable process to support QMS.
  • Establish a multi-tier quality framework including supplier quality, incoming inspection, automated gating, and final audits.
  • Build and lead an internal Quality Academy to enhance organizational quality capabilities.
  • Collaborate with Engineering to develop DFMEA and tool requirements, and educate operators and leadership.
  • Partner with Engineering during design to drive DFMEA and design gating.
  • Lead risk-based PFMEA during production and fulfillment to prevent errors.
  • Develop and maintain Control Plans, inspection and testing methods.
  • Chair the Material Review Board (MRB), manage deviation/waiver process, and ensure rigorous validation of out-of-spec materials.
  • Define and implement Out of Control Action Plans (OCAP) for rectification.
  • Own and execute the Counterfeit Prevention Program, managing sourcing controls.
  • Enforce quality standards for raw materials and manufacturing partners.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in global Quality Assurance in hardware production and fulfillment.
  • Proven experience implementing ISO 9001-compliant QMS.
  • Deep expertise in APQP tools: DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans.
  • Ability to facilitate workshops and drive process improvements.
  • Familiar with Counterfeit Prevention Programs (e.g., AS9100/9120) and supply chain security protocols.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related technical field.
