About the role

LangChain is scaling for its next phase of growth and is hiring founding People Partners who act as strategic co-pilots to EPD, GTM, and Ops leaders. The role is embedded in the business, data-driven, AI-first, and focused on designing people solutions that drive business results, organizational architecture, coaching, and high-leverage strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Business-First Partnership: Embed deeply with Engineering, Product, GTM, and Ops to understand roadmaps and drive outcomes through intentional people strategies.
  • Proactive Organizational Architecture: Use data and organizational pulse to anticipate burnout or friction; architect high-performance team structures, headcount forecasting, and foundational builds.
  • AI-First Operations: Automate routine processes using AI tools to focus on coaching and strategy over administrative tasks.
  • Strategic Coaching & Influence: Provide high-signal coaching on performance, leadership, and team dynamics; push back when necessary.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Own the People Dashboard for your business units; create concise one-pagers on metrics to influence leadership decisions.
  • Program Implementation & Stewardship: Roll out core programs (compensation cycles, leveling, performance frameworks) tailored to unit needs; manage sensitive employee relations with empathy and rigor.
  • XFN Collaboration: Collaborate across the People team and with hiring to deliver unified solutions for the business.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years as an HRBP or People Partner in a high-growth, fast-paced tech environment.
  • Technical and AI-savvy; able to speak the language of engineers and researchers and adopt AI tools to boost productivity.
  • Strategic Influence: ability to push back on senior leaders with credibility and EQ.
  • Data-Driven: ability to use data to tell stories, identify trends, and back up recommendations.
  • Precision Communication: capable of drafting Slack messages, 1-pagers, or board slides that are clear, concise, and persuasive.
  • Resilient Hustle: thrives in startup environments, manages multiple high-priority work streams, and builds solutions proactively.
