Design Engineer, EU
About the role
Design-focused frontend engineering role at Ashby, combining design and implementation to extend the in-house design system and ship design-centric features for a recruiting platform.
Responsibilities
- Tackle challenging design problems and expand our in-house design system
- Consult on bespoke design work and build flexible, composable components (e.g., autocompletes with filters and creation of new records)
- Redesign mobile web app by collaborating with customers, wireframing new flows, implementing design system, and turning wireframes into working UI
- Improve information hierarchy and scannability of candidate assessments for recruiters
- Own projects end-to-end from user interaction to UX design and product specs
- Mentorship and collaboration to grow design/system thinking within the team
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience as a full-time front-end engineer
- Significant contributions to a product’s design or design systems
