About the role

Senior Construction Manager responsible for driving safe, high quality, predictable, and efficient delivery of Microsoft data centre EPC projects in the EMEA region, including shell, MEP fitout, testing, and IT fitout, with end-to-end project lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of large-scale data center construction projects, from site due diligence and planning through execution and closeout.
  • Partner with engineering, operations, cost management, and construction teams to develop delivery strategies, manage project risks, and ensure successful outcomes.
  • Drive safety, quality, and compliance across campus projects, fostering a strong safety culture and ensuring adherence to regulatory and Microsoft standards.
  • Manage project schedules, resources, and critical milestones, implementing mitigation and acceleration plans to maintain predictable delivery performance.
  • Oversee contractor, vendor, and stakeholder engagement, including procurement activities, commercial management, and performance accountability.
  • Lead and develop project management teams, providing coaching, goal setting, performance management, and delivery oversight across multiple projects.
  • Monitor project financials, reporting, and governance, ensuring effective budget management, change control, forecasting, and data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent engineering science OR significant related senior construction management experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Solid experience in construction management of large, complex projects involving large-scale MEP plants (directly managing contract range between 150M–300M Euros).
  • Significant experience directly managing, mentoring, leading, and coaching construction management and/or commissioning professionals.
  • Solid experience in hiring, promoting, disciplining, and developing teams of professional construction/engineering staffs.
