About the role

Licensed Therapist specializing in eating disorders, delivering evidence-based treatment (e.g., FBT, CBT-E) in a remote Hawaii-based role with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide evidence-based family, individual, and group therapy for eating disorders and comorbid diagnoses in a virtual clinic (telehealth).
  • Implement family-based treatment (FBT), enhanced cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT-E), cognitive behavioral therapy for ARFID, and other evidence-based treatments across the lifespan.
  • Maintain a caseload of 30-40; 20-26 hours of direct care and remainder administrative tasks.
  • Participate in initial and ongoing trainings.
  • Assess and diagnose mental health conditions.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment team of physicians, dietitians, patient mentors, and family mentors, and outside providers.
  • Utilize between-session messaging to support patients and communicate with the treatment team via Equip’s EMR.
  • Engage in Treatment Team meetings, supervision, and department meetings.
  • Maintain licensure in home state and obtain licensure in other states as requested (licensure costs covered).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Active, unrestricted, and independent license to practice psychotherapy in Hawaii.
  • Ability to support a caseload of patients of all ages, co-occurring conditions, backgrounds and cultures, and varying acuity.
  • Passion for evidence-based care and treatment.
  • Ability to provide care 2 evenings per week (until 8pm in primary time zone).
  • Enthusiastic, strong team player.
  • Ability to safely and effectively deliver care virtually.
  • Passion for mental health and eating disorder treatment and expanding access to treatment.
