About the role

Senior iOS engineer to build and evolve native iOS experiences for Airwallex customers, focusing on secure, reliable access to payment products and end-to-end product development within the Financial Platform team.

Responsibilities

  • Build enterprise iOS applications and reusable libraries in Swift that support reliable customer experiences.
  • Own product development end to end, from defining technical solutions through implementation and delivery.
  • Improve maintainability, extensibility and reusability through thoughtful design, refactoring and collaboration with architects.
  • Raise code quality through robust implementation, high test coverage and reliable CI/CD automation.
  • Protect sensitive customer data while supporting secure, reliable products that meet global regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience developing native iOS applications using Swift
  • Expert knowledge of iOS frameworks and the wider iOS ecosystem
  • Strong understanding of design patterns for mobile development
  • Experience working with RESTful APIs
  • Experience designing and implementing enterprise applications and reusable iOS libraries
  • Experience owning product development through the full engineering lifecycle
  • A track record of writing robust, maintainable code with high test coverage
  • Experience maintaining automation pipelines for CI/CD
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with engineering, product and business stakeholders
  • Fluency in English
  • Experience applying best practices to protect sensitive customer data and support regulatory compliance
