About the role
Engineering Leader focused on Platform and Infrastructure at Candid Health, responsible for guiding multiple teams (Production Infrastructure, Developer Infrastructure, Data Engineering) to deliver scalable, reliable, high-performance systems and AI tooling strategy for the healthcare platform.
Responsibilities
- Own engineering practice and critical services/features
- Lead planning, prioritization, tracking, and delivery across teams
- Maintain high technical quality, reliability, and developer satisfaction
- Influence stakeholders to remove obstacles and reduce friction
- Make data-driven decisions to improve reliability, performance, and scalability
- Dive into software architecture and leverage domain knowledge to meet business goals
- Recruit and mentor engineers and managers, partnering with talent acquisition
- Define technical strategy in collaboration with leadership and product teams
Qualifications
- B.S. or B.A in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math or similar
- 6+ years in a Software Engineering Leadership role (Senior Manager or Manager of Managers)
- Track record leading teams to build scalable, reliable distributed systems (Data and Infrastructure)
- Strong technical decision-making and architectural skills
- Ability to manage multiple directions and advocate for team needs
- Experience interviewing, hiring, and mentoring product-focused engineering teams
- Clear and concise communication; able to explain complex ideas simply
- Based in or willing to relocate to Denver, CO or San Francisco, CA
