About the role

Role to establish Terminal’s ecosystem partnership motion from the ground up, focusing on supply-side partnerships (TSPs, OEMs, and enrichment data providers) to enable product-led integrations and scalable distribution of telematics data in commercial trucking.

Responsibilities

  • Define partner ICPs/segmentation and build targeted sourcing across TSPs, OEMs, and data providers.
  • Run partner deals end-to-end: discovery → technical diligence → commercial negotiation → signed agreement → launch plan.
  • Negotiate data rights, attribution/provenance, permissioning/consent, auditability, SLAs, and commercialization (where applicable).
  • Create partner-facing materials (deck, one-pager, standard deal constructs) and manage internal deal-review cadence.
  • Coordinate with Product & Integration Engineering to scope integrations (API/webhooks/file), ensure production-grade reliability, and support go-lives.
  • Translate integrations into downstream consumption (insurers, fleet platforms, fuel cards, logistics platforms).
  • Codify a repeatable partner operating model and develop onboarding/enablement assets.
  • Build instrumentation and reporting for onboarding funnel, time-to-live, activation, and incident/support load.
  • Establish cross-functional rhythms to convert partner friction into product improvements; plan scaling (partner ops/engineering) and hiring.

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years in ecosystem partnerships, platform partnerships, API/data partnerships, or BD in a technical product environment.
  • Proven ability to close and operationalize partnerships (not just relationship management).
  • Technical fluency with APIs/webhooks/file exports, data schemas, normalization/versioning, provenance/attribution, permissioning/consent concepts, and production reliability.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership with Engineering / Legal / Commercial; ability to translate ambiguity into execution.
  • High ownership, bias to action, and a results-driven approach.

Terminal is Plaid for telematics data in commercial trucking. Companies building next generation insurance products, financial services and fleet software for trucking use our Universal API to access GPS data, speeding data and vehicle stats. Raghav (CEO) and Connor (CTO) led product and engineering at a series b-funded neobank where they spent 2.5 years integrating middleware APIs like Plaid & Stripe. Before that, Connor spent 3 years building software for his family-owned logistics company which was acquired by a private equity firm. Raghav’s family is in fleet operations and owns an HVAC company in San Francisco where they operate a fleet of 13 commercial vehicles.
