About the role

Senior Manager responsible for building and executing a multi-year go-to-market plan to grow Microsoft's cloud capacity in Japan, coordinating with sales, engineering, marketing, and regional teams to align capacity expansion with customer demand and business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Build a multi-year growth plan for Microsoft's cloud presence in Japan, with a clear strategy and measurable goals.
  • Coordinate datacenter expansion activities with local and regional sales leadership, solution architects, marketing and global teams (site planning, launch readiness, pipeline and reporting).
  • Build demand ahead of launch by developing and tracking customer pipeline for new cloud capacity, especially from large anchor customers.
  • Represent customer demand to engineering; identify required cloud services and features and work with engineering and capacity planning teams to ensure availability.
  • Develop business cases for datacenter expansion and secure investment and support from global teams.
  • Respond to urgent capacity needs and identify options that support business continuity for mission-critical workloads.
  • Build relationships across internal teams and with external partners to grow the local technical ecosystem.
  • Partner with corporate communications on announcements of new or expanded datacenter regions.
  • Track execution of the plan and support Asia leadership with strategic decisions and course corrections.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in go-to-market strategy, sales enablement, business development, business planning, technical pre-sales or related area.
  • Experience with at least one major public cloud platform (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
  • Fluency in Japanese and business-level English.
