About the role

AI platform engineer focused on building and maintaining the production AI platform layer (runtime, context management, tool execution, orchestration, evaluation pipelines, and observability) for Duvo’s enterprise AI operations platform. Remote in EU/UK, full-time.

Responsibilities

  • Own the AI platform layer that makes agents reliable, fast and safe in production (agent runtime, context management, tool execution and orchestration, evaluation pipelines and harnesses, prompt engineering for system behaviors, observability tooling).
  • Own sandbox behavior and the agent runtime logic.
  • Work on production systems built on LLMs, retrieval and agent orchestration, and manage reliability, cost and quality in the real world.
  • Squeezes model usage and cost (e.g., moving work to cheaper models and self-hosted open-source models on own GPUs).
  • Contribute to design reviews and implementation across related AI infrastructure and tooling.

Qualifications

  • Production AI systems: you've made LLMs reliable at scale in production, hands-on with prompt engineering, context management, tool use or agent orchestration.
  • Shipping and ownership: experience taking ambiguous AI problems to production with measurable outcomes across build, evaluate, deploy, monitor, iterate.
  • System design for AI: reliability, cost and latency considerations for non-deterministic outputs, context window limits, and failed tool calls.
  • Evaluation design: building evals to detect regressions and measure quality to enable shipping AI features.
  • Debugging and diagnosis: hypothesis-driven troubleshooting across model behavior, data pipelines and infrastructure to find root causes.
  • Judgment as AI evolves: ability to make build-vs-integrate decisions with incomplete benchmarks and adapt to changing models/providers.
