About the role

Senior backend-focused role responsible for end-to-end integration with external platforms, influencing technical direction, and owning architecture, delivery, and production operations for ClickHouse Cloud partner integrations.

Responsibilities

  • Owning an integration end to end: design, code, and the production system that runs after launch
  • Owning the architecture: auth and identity flows, multi-tenancy, data movement, data residency, performance, and production protocols
  • Running what you build: on-call for your work, owning infrastructure, CI, deployment, and observability
  • Working on top of external platforms you can't change, with clear risk ownership
  • Partnering with internal teams: defining interfaces, maintaining momentum, and reducing blockers
  • Writing design docs, RFCs, and other documentation to shape team direction

Qualifications

  • 5+ years building software, with significant experience in data-heavy or integration-focused systems
  • Solid backend and systems instincts (deployment topology, multi-tenancy, data movement)
  • Experience with modern auth protocols, service principals, and identity federation across trust boundaries
  • Experience integrating with third-party platforms with incomplete docs and potential breaking changes
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and shipping ahead of complete specs
  • Collaborative with other engineers and able to earn trust across teams
  • Backend-focused with working familiarity in JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Experience using AI tools in development processes
  • Strong written communication for design docs, PRs, and RFCs
