About the role

Unify is building the first AI-native outbound platform for revenue teams. This Senior Backend Software Engineer role focuses on scaling the core platform, setting technical vision and engineering standards, and partnering with founders to take new product ideas from zero to one.

Responsibilities

  • Scale Unify to support hyper growth and large-scale customers
  • Drive the technical roadmap by collaborating with Product, Design, and GTM stakeholders
  • Set engineering standards including coding practices, CI/CD, testing strategy, reliability targets, and observability
  • Evaluate and integrate new tech via rapid prototyping with third-party APIs, databases, model-serving platforms, and infra vendors
  • Mentor and lead engineers across domains, including pairing, reviewing, and unblocking as needed

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional software-engineering experience
  • Deep, hands-on expertise scaling and operating PostgreSQL (partitioned/sharded schemas, tuning, backups, observability, multi-TB clusters with replication and failover)
  • Proven track record of shipping high-impact, production-grade systems at scale
  • Collaborative, low-ego attitude with mentoring experience
  • Desire to thrive in a fast-paced environment and continuously grow
