About the role

IT Systems Engineer responsible for scaling LangChain's IT infrastructure, fleet management, security, identity, and SaaS administration to support a growing, global team.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain IT infrastructure and tech stack that scales with LangChain’s rapid growth
  • Drive automation initiatives to reduce toil using scripts, APIs, and workflow tools
  • Implement monitoring and documentation practices for operational excellence
  • Reimagine deployment, configuration, and management of the Mac fleet (MDM foundation: Iru) and develop a secure, maintainable desktop environment
  • Own security controls and application deployment across the fleet to ensure scalable updates and configurations
  • Build fleet management systems to accommodate growing headcount and fleet
  • Drive identity strategy implementing secure, scalable access controls with least privilege
  • Identify and implement security enhancements across the SaaS stack
  • Partner with Security team to improve enterprise security posture
  • Administer and optimize SaaS stack, provisioning, access controls, and lifecycle management
  • Develop deep fluency in LangSmith administration surface and automate LangSmith admin workflows via API
  • Support IT across internal tools including LLM Gateway
  • Provide global employee support across hardware, software, networking, and IT tools
  • Deliver onboarding experiences ensuring hardware, access, and setup from day one

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in IT engineering and systems administration
  • Deep proficiency with Okta and Okta Workflows
  • Fluency in Python, JavaScript, or similar with ability to write production-quality scripts and automation
  • Experience with REST APIs, webhooks, and API authentication; ability to build integrations
  • Proven ability to build automations reducing manual work
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform for IaC and comfortable editing existing Terraform codebase
  • Experience using coding agents (e.g. Claude Code) for automation
  • Strong experience with Google Workspace, Slack, Notion, Claude, ChatGPT
  • Understanding of MDM platforms and fleet/configuration management tooling
  • Experience administering large/complex SaaS stacks, including internal or AI/LLM-based products
  • Strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls, switching, wireless, LAN/WAN)
  • Annual salary range: $150,000-$170,00 USD
