About the role

Senior Finance Manager responsible for designing and executing accounting processes and controls for Microsoft’s Cloud Supply Chain, overseeing multi-billion-dollar asset portfolio, influencing system/process design, providing insights to business partners, and executing monthly financial close. Partners globally with Finance, Tax, Treasury, Trade, Sourcing and Business Operations to optimize systems, processes and accounting for Cloud Infrastructure and fixed assets.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Accounting and Supply Chain asset management to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Design and execute scalable accounting and reporting solutions to enable stakeholders with optimal and compliant systems and processes, and key analysis and insights.
  • Partner with finance to drive insight and clarity on accounting and asset management guidance to help inform business decisions and financial planning (forecast, targets, and long-range planning).
  • Participate with a high performing team, adding to thought leadership for Cloud Controllership and Enablement.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) / IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) and Microsoft Policy; enable controls to safeguard assets and accurate financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with global stakeholders to meet regulatory, statutory, audit and compliance requirements.
  • Build and manage close partnerships with teams across Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Business.
  • Embrace inclusion, a growth mindset, and enable culture and norms that support consistent quality partner experiences.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR equivalent experience.
