About the role

Full-stack/backend engineer needed at Agave, a YC-backed applied AI for construction company. Role focuses on unifying fragmented systems, building scalable backend/frontend solutions, and handling high-volume APIs. Hybrid/In-person in SF preferred for Bay Area candidates; remote option for others.

Responsibilities

  • Back-end/full-stack development
  • Unification of multiple data systems, data models, and authentication workflows
  • Designing scalable features with consideration for integration across supported systems
  • Building and optimizing API layers and caching for high-throughput usage
  • Working with on-prem systems integration (SQL-based, DLL-based, API-based) and real-time communication (webhooks/websockets)
  • Shipping code daily and iterating based on customer feedback
  • Collaborating with a small, high-caliber founding team to deliver product-focused features and improvements

Qualifications

  • 1+ years experience as backend/full-stack engineer
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (e.g. AWS)
  • Ability to work in SF in-person 5 days/week if in Bay Area; remote optional for others
  • No prior experience with specific tech stack required for B2B SaaS/API roles
