About the role

Fresh off a $15M Series A, Agave is hiring an operations generalist to own the systems and processes that keep money moving and the business running cleanly as we scale. The role combines revenue operations, vendor/partner management, marketing operations, and special projects in a fast-growing startup.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end customer billing and invoicing through Stripe, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and clean handoffs with customers
  • Track customer payments and follow up on anything late
  • Track, reconcile, and report on revenue across all streams (subscriptions, add-ons, partners, and more)
  • Build and maintain lightweight systems for reliable revenue/cash views
  • Managing sales tax compliance through Numeral
  • Own billing email
  • Track revenue received from vendors and partners; manage rev-share calculations and payouts to VARs
  • Manage logistics for conferences, trade shows, and events
  • Own and publish company social media posts
  • Maintain and refresh product assets across website, marketplace listings, and sales materials
  • Special Projects — e.g., research invoicing tool options, build a model to evaluate partner API usage, stand up billing and payment reporting for leadership
  • Collaborate with finance, sales, and product to improve operational workflows

Qualifications

  • Graduate from a top university (e.g. Stanford, Berkeley, Princeton, MIT, etc.) with a strong academic record
  • 1+ years of experience in operations at a startup OR operational experience at a top-tier consulting firm
  • Open to high-slope new grads
  • Hungry to learn, resourceful, and excited to gain hands-on experience at a fast-growing startup
  • Comfortable wearing many hats and figuring things out quickly with limited direction
