About the role

Senior software engineer role within Rippling's Travel integrations team, part of the Spend Suite, building the travel management platform and integrating travel with corporate cards, expense management, procurement, and bill pay.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Product Management and other Engineering stakeholders to maintain high quality in a fast-paced environment.
  • Wear a product manager hat when needed.
  • Build features that solve technical problems of high scope and complexity.
  • Participate in planning activities, perform code reviews, and contribute to a growing team.
  • Translate high-level business requirements into a software design and communicate designs to the team.
  • Provide mentorship for Junior and Intermediate Engineers to help them grow and remove blockers to autonomy.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 6+ years of programming experience
  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment
  • Preferred experience in Go, Python, Django, MongoDB, AWS
  • Strong CS knowledge
  • Ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment by identifying areas of impact and independently pursuing them
  • Experience in travel domain is a plus
