About the role

Experienced leader to build ElevenLabs' public sector business across Europe by identifying and nurturing government partnerships, engaging policymakers and EU institutions, monitoring AI policy developments, and driving adoption and revenue.

Responsibilities

  • Drive government adoption and revenue (primary) - Identify government partnership opportunities across Europe and bridge the gap between government institutions and the GTM team to drive adoption and deployment of ElevenLabs' products.
  • Build and maintain a wide network of relationships across European government institutions — spanning national ministries, agencies, EU institutions, and public sector bodies — not limited to regulatory or policy counterparts.
  • Promote government adoption of ElevenLabs products and services in partnership with the GTM team.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with policymakers, regulators, industry associations, and civil society groups — at both the national and EU level.
  • Represent ElevenLabs at conferences and industry events, advancing the company's public policy goals.
  • Monitor and advise on policy (tertiary) - Lead engagement with government bodies and officials across Europe, focusing on AI governance, safety, copyright, privacy, transparency, data protection, competition, and digital rights.
  • Monitor, analyze, and advise on emerging regulations impacting the company — with emphasis on EU AI Act, GDPR, DSA/DMA and implementation across member states.
  • Support development of internal policies by Legal, Safety, Security, and other teams.
  • Provide strategic counsel to leadership on regional policy trends and business implications.
  • Define and implement policy campaigns and impact initiatives that advance company objectives.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years' experience in public and private sector roles with a track record of building relationships with government leading to commercial or technology-adoption outcomes
  • Wide, current network across multiple European markets spanning national ministries, agencies, and public sector bodies, plus EU institutions (European Commission, European Parliament, Council); depth in at least two major European markets preferred
  • Experience identifying and opening doors for technology partnerships with government institutions preferred
  • Experience navigating EU policymaking multi-stakeholder landscape a significant plus
  • Strong knowledge of European AI policy landscape including EU AI Act, GDPR, DSA/DMA, and broader AI governance themes
  • Demonstrated success in designing, advocating for, and influencing policy outcomes and coalition building
  • Public policy experience across Europe
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for briefing government officials
  • Fluency in English; additional European languages a strong plus
