About the role

Senior Security Architect (SA) focusing on Snowflake AI & Data Cloud security within the APJ Field CTO Office, specializing in Korea regulatory compliance (CSAP, K-FSI) and localization while partnering with product, engineering, sales, and marketing to drive secure, Korea-compliant Data and AI architectures.

Responsibilities

  • Help to scope security related feature enhancements on behalf of customers to work with Product Management and Engineering on ways to enhance requirements for the local market.
  • Help drive Snowflake adoption by advising customers and engineering teams on how to build secure Korea-compliant Data and AI architectures, ensuring Snowflake implementations respect strict localization and regional access controls.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Support in order to drive customer security feature adoption.
  • Partner with our Product Marketing team to define and support Snowflake's AI and Data Cloud posture and Security DataLake workload awareness and pipeline building via marketing initiatives including conferences, trade shows, and events.
  • Work and collaborate with other Field CTO members in areas as a security expert collaborating with Enterprise AI, Gen AI, Data Engineering and Applications teams at Snowflake.
  • Share knowledge with internal and industry communities via webinars & conferences.

Qualifications

  • 7-10+ years of hands-on information security experience, with at least 5+ years focused on cloud security architecture (AWS, Azure, GCP, or domestic Korean CSPs)
  • Native or professional business fluency in Korean; professional-level English for global HQ collaboration
  • 10+ years of industry, customer-facing, and hands-on implementation experience with a core focus on data concepts, privacy, governance, networking, infosec and security technologies
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills for technical and executive audiences
  • Experience selling enterprise SaaS software and working in the local South Korean market
  • Korea-specific infrastructure design experience for highly regulated industries (data localization/residency)
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and security, data encryption, and networking architectures
  • Deep knowledge of IAM/RBAC, OAuth, identity governance (SCIM), TCP/IP, DNS, proxies, and CSP private networking
  • Exposure to AI security concepts and non-human identity frameworks (Agentic Identity)
  • Experience with gap assessments, control implementations, evidence collection, and surveillance/reassessment
  • Ability to build demos, configure CSP environments, test use cases on Snowflake and integrations
  • Ability to produce security and networking reference architectures, best practices, and hardening guides
  • Familiarity with NIST, CIS, OWASP, MITRE ATT&CK frameworks
  • Knowledge of ANSI SQL databases and/or data warehousing (preferred)
  • Strong written and verbal communication, collaboration, and ability to explain security concepts to diverse audiences
  • Understanding of APJ region cultural diversity and willingness to work across time zones
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Security / Computer Science / Information Management Systems or related field; Masters preferred
