About the role
Multilingual localization specialist focusing on localizing in-app content for the Japanese market, with secondary responsibility to create high-quality Korean content for the Japanese market, supported by training from the manager.
Responsibilities
- Content translation and localization: Perform Japanese-Korean translation and localization for in-app learning and marketing content from a pedagogical perspective; iterate and polish translated content based on QA tasks.
- Content development and writing: Design and write in-app learning materials (lesson scripts, activities, vocabulary lists) for Korean learners at different levels under manager guidance.
- Content project support: Support content-related projects (uploading scripts, QAing lessons, coordinating components) under manager guidance.
- Communication and collaboration with international team members: Receive directions from the manager, implement instructions, complete projects, and maintain clear end-to-end communication.
Qualifications
- Native Japanese writing and speaking skills and native or near-native Korean writing and speaking skills
- Deep understanding of Korean learning status in Japanese
- Demonstrated experience in Japanese-Korean translation and localization
- Experience in Korean teaching, language pedagogy, or curriculum design
- Great attention to detail with strong ownership
- Passion for technology-assisted language learning and willingness to use advanced technologies
- Working proficiency in English
- Fast learner, team player, skilled communicator, creative problem-solver
