About the role

Axle is the AI-native clearinghouse for insurance. This role drives product strategy for Axle's core enterprise customers, leading design sessions, capturing customer needs, and translating them into actionable product decisions and roadmaps. Involves frequent collaboration with enterprise clients, Technical Account Managers, and Engineering, plus travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Design Sessions & Client Discovery - Own and facilitate design sessions with enterprise clients - Define how Axle will fit into each client’s product, technology stack, and operational processes - Travel to client sites approximately once a month - Partner with TAMs and Deployment Strategist post-session to ensure executability - Develop a library of design patterns and client workflow documentation
  • Act as the Voice of the Customer - Deeply understand client needs through direct engagement, usage data, and collaboration with TAMs and Deployment Strategy - Translate feedback into clearly scoped product requirements - Balance qualitative feedback with quantitative metrics to drive decisions
  • Build the Forward Deployed Product Foundation - Maintain product documentation and API guides - Grow into trusted internal authority on product capabilities and roadmap

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Product Management, Solutions Engineering with a product focus, Technical Product Management, or other customer-facing roles
  • Proven experience leading design sessions or discovery workshops with enterprise clients
  • Strong technical fluency: AI agents, RESTful APIs, webhooks, and system integrations
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication
  • Track record of prioritization decisions balancing stakeholder needs, business impact, and technical feasibility
  • Founder mindset: thrive in fast-moving, ambiguous environments and build 0→1 products
  • Insatiable curiosity and collaborative attitude
