About the role

Licensed Therapist position in a fully remote, Texas-based role within Equip’s virtual eating disorder treatment program. Responsibilities include evidence-based therapy delivery (FBT, CBT-E, ARFID-focused CBT), collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, and maintaining licensure across states as needed. Telehealth in a fully remote, supportive environment with flex PTO and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Provide evidence-based family, individual, and group therapy for eating disorders and comorbid diagnoses in a virtual clinic (telehealth).
  • Implement family-based treatment (FBT), enhanced cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT-E), cognitive behavioral therapy for ARFID, and other evidence-based treatments for patients across the lifespan with eating disorders and their loved ones.
  • Maintain a caseload of 30-40; with the expectation of 20-26 hours of direct care and remaining time for administrative tasks.
  • Participate in initial and ongoing trainings.
  • Assess and diagnose mental health conditions.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team of physicians, dietitians, patient mentors, and family mentors, along with outside providers.
  • Utilize between-session messaging to support patients and communicate with the treatment team through Equip’s EMR.
  • Engage in Treatment Team meetings, supervision, and department meetings.
  • Maintain licensure in home state and obtain licensure in other states as requested by Equip (licensure costs covered).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Active, unrestricted, and independent license to practice psychotherapy in Texas.
  • Ability to support a caseload of patients of all ages, co-occurring conditions, backgrounds and cultures, and with varying degrees of acuity.
  • Passion for evidence-based care and treatment.
  • Ability to provide care 2 evenings per week (until 8pm in primary time zone).
  • Enthusiastic, strong team player.
  • Ability to safely and effectively deliver care in a virtual setting.
  • Passion for mental health and eating disorder treatment and expanding access to treatment.

Skills

Required:Licensed psychotherapist (LPC/LCSW/LMFT/LP) in TexasEvidence-based therapies for eating disorders
