About the role

Internship at Samsara in San Francisco focusing on a wide range of high-impact engineering challenges across the connected operations platform, with opportunities across backend, full-stack, mobile, and embedded software using technologies like Golang, TypeScript/React, GraphQL, and React Native.

Responsibilities

  • Work on backend infrastructure powering the IoT platform, including data ingestion and storage for thousands of assets and customers.
  • Contribute to full-stack features with a focus on delivering actionable insights and customer value.
  • Strengthen the React Native mobile infrastructure to enable performant, maintainable apps.
  • Engage in embedded software projects on Samsara hardware (edge AI, multimedia, power management, real-time data processing).
  • Collaborate with product and design, participate in customer interactions, and iterate on features based on feedback.

Qualifications

  • Currently a junior-year student on track to complete a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, or Data Science between Spring/Summer/Fall 2028 or Winter 2029.
