About the role

Lead Product Designer at Samsara responsible for owning design for strategic initiatives across web and mobile, collaborating with customers and cross-functional teams, and shipping design system, web products, and mobile apps. Remote role open to US residents.

Responsibilities

  • Lead large, ambiguous initiatives, from problem framing through launch and iteration.
  • Demonstrate good judgement and taste in your deliverables
  • Regularly meet and engage with our most strategic customers to bring the customer voice alongside product data into product decisions.
  • Leverage AI tools through every step of the process, defining new ways of working.
  • Stay well informed on the emerging trends, tools, and technology
  • Ship code to production across our design system, web products, and mobile apps
  • Lead through building, not politics.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of product design experience designing UX/UI for web and mobile applications.
  • A portfolio with case studies that show how you approached an ambiguous, multi-part problem and what happened after you shipped.
  • Deep interaction and visual design skills, with the judgment to know when to use an established pattern and when to invent one.
  • AI tools in your regular design practice (e.g., Cursor, Figma Make), with shipped work you can attribute to them.
  • Experience mentoring designers, formally or informally.
  • Direct customer research experience, and comfort using it to make product decisions.
  • Experience shipping with cross-functional teams on short cycles.
