About the role

Remote Solutions Integration Engineer role at Samsara, focused on building and implementing B2B integrations with Samsara's IoT platform for strategic customers, with cross-functional collaboration and opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of enterprise-grade, scalable integration solutions using Samsara APIs, Webhooks, and connectors.
  • Own high-impact, high-risk projects from requirements through delivery, configuration, maintenance, and support.
  • Mentor engineers to establish standards for robust enterprise integrations.
  • Act as the bridge between Customers and Product/Engineering, feeding back to align roadmaps with customer needs.
  • Leverage AI-driven workflows and modern technologies to optimize the tech stack and team efficiency.
  • Create customer-facing launch plans and roadmaps; drive internal initiatives to improve operational efficiency and visibility.
  • Model and promote Samsara cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team).
  • Lead by example with thorough code reviews and actionable feedback; share best practices with product teams and developer communities; contribute to Professional Services methodologies.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of professional experience as software engineer, solutions engineer, integrations engineer, solution architect or other customer facing technical roles.
  • Expert-level command of Python, REST APIs, and Webhooks; deep knowledge of scalable, event-driven integration patterns using data streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka, PubSub) and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
  • Experience with data warehousing and storage strategies, SQL and NoSQL databases, data modeling, and modern data pipeline tooling.
  • Strong customer engagement experience—building relationships, translating requirements into technical solutions, and running trainings.
  • Proficiency with AI-driven development and automation tools (LLM-based tools like Cursor and Codex, MCPs) for code generation and workflow improvements.
  • Cloud infrastructure experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • GitHub-based version control and collaboration; familiarity with Jira and Confluence.
  • Excellent communication with executives, product and engineering leadership, and end users.
  • Strong end-to-end system implementation skills.
