About the role

Technical Account Manager Architect role within ClickHouse's Support Services team, focused on ongoing TAM, consultative, and escalation-driven support for strategic enterprise customers, including L3 case ownership and regional travel.

Responsibilities

  • Work with strategic and enterprise ClickHouse users, customers, and prospects on onboarding, production launches, and POCs
  • Provide architectural, technical, and migration guidance and assistance
  • Lead projects, escalations, and meetings to enable ongoing user/customer success
  • Ownership and oversight of L3 Support Cases and Escalations, cooperating with L1/L2 Support
  • Partner with Product Management, Engineering, and Sales to help develop roadmap and account plans
  • Be available for required scheduling and onsite travel to deliver 24x7 global support
  • Assist with hiring and mentoring new team members
  • Develop and assist with Docs, Knowledge Base articles, ClickHouse Learning, Reference Architecture, and QA needs

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Technical Account Management, Professional Services, Senior Support, and/or Project Management
  • 5+ years of experience in implementing/operating/supporting scalable, fault-tolerant distributed DBMS
  • Technical breadth in DBMS, OLAP, Cloud/SaaS, distributed systems, Linux/Unix, Kubernetes, System/Network Admin, big data
  • Experience leading and shipping large scope technical projects with engineers
  • Expertise with a public cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure) and IaaS (e.g. EC2)
  • Excellent communication skills and customer-facing collaboration with Support, Engineering, and Sales
  • Teamwork-oriented, globally engaged, empathetic, problem-solving
  • Adventure and urgency in building scalable, high-performance databases
  • Self-driven, curious, and eager to learn and grow
