About the role

Senior Consulting Engineer role within ClickHouse's LATAM Support Services, blending hands-on engineering, development assistance, and high-tier consultative support for enterprise customers. Includes project engineering, consultative support, on-call duties, 24x7 coverage, and up to 35% travel.

Responsibilities

  • Project Engineering & Consulting (50%): design, architecture, integration, implementation, documentation, benchmarking, performance testing, reference architectures, sizing, migration, development, and tooling.
  • Consultative Support (50%): case-initiated consultative support for strategic users, onboarding, production launches, and POCs.
  • Provide architectural, technical, and migration assistance, including hands-on tasks.
  • Handle L1 to L3 support cases when not on customer projects.
  • Partner with Product Management, Engineering, and Sales to influence roadmap and account plans.
  • Develop and assist with content: Public/Internal Documentation, Knowledge Base, ClickHouse Learning, Reference Architecture, blogs, benchmarks.
  • Assist with hiring and mentoring new team members.
  • Be available for scheduling/on-call needs to deliver 24x7 support in a global environment, including up to 35% onsite regional travel.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Professional Services, Support, Technical Accounts Management, Engineering/SRE, or Project Management.
  • 5+ years of experience implementing, operating, or supporting scalable, fault-tolerant distributed DBMS.
  • Technical breadth in DBMS, OLAP, Cloud/SaaS, distributed systems, Linux/Unix, Kubernetes, System/Network Administration, and big data.
  • Experience leading and shipping large technical projects with multiple engineers.
  • Expertise with a public cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure) and their IaaS offerings (e.g. EC2).
