About the role

Principal Salesforce Architect role at PointClickCare focusing on enterprise architecture, Salesforce platform modernization, and alignment of business capabilities with technology across the organization. Remote/hybrid role based in Mississauga, with travel to office as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Execute the strategic vision for the Enterprise Architecture practice under leadership
  • Collaborate with domain architects, engineers, and leaders to develop technical standards, reference architectures, design patterns, opinion papers, and architecture decision frameworks guiding multi-platform solutions
  • Develop and manage a technical strategy and coordinate adoption, including enterprise guidance for standard processes and common design pitfalls
  • Manage the architecture review process by creating validation checklists, reviewing artifacts, and providing domain-specific guidance
  • Translate business requirements into well-architected Salesforce solutions
  • Design and develop end-to-end solutions for complex business problems
  • Apply architectural concepts to ensure scalability, security, reliability, and maintainability
  • Manage delivery of custom development integrations and data migration for Salesforce implementations
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive technical strategy for Salesforce platform
  • Conduct research and PoCs on emerging technologies and toolkits
  • Enforce and promote design patterns and standard solution design practices
  • Contribute to target state architectures, assessments, and roadmaps
  • Partner with data and integration architects to ensure data integrity, security, and seamless integrations
  • Collaborate with solution architects to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture
  • Collaborate with business leaders on business capability models
  • Foster a learning community within enterprise architecture and drive continuous improvement

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 5+ years as a senior domain/enterprise architect
  • Experience as a Principal Salesforce Architect in global orgs with Salesforce Connected Apps
  • Proven track record delivering complex B2B SaaS Salesforce solutions
  • Led at least two large-scale Product-to-Cash (CPQ/RCA) implementations; 5+ years defining Salesforce architecture across quoting, contracting, fulfilment, billing, revenue, customer success, and support
  • Familiarity with managed packages (e.g., Gong, DocuSign CLM, Kantata, Gainsight, Showpad, Qualtrics) a plus
  • Experience planning and leading architecture delivery for large-scale transformations
  • Strong Salesforce knowledge including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Community Cloud (or SuccessFactors ecosystem)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Salesforce certifications preferred (CTA, Application Architect, System Architect)
  • 5 years hands-on enterprise architecture framework experience (TOGAF, C4, Archimate, etc.)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Experience in data, integration, risk management, and technology standards
  • Security architecture understanding
  • Experience in business capability modeling translating business needs to technology
  • Generative AI code assistant awareness is a stated asset
