About the role

Infrastructure-focused role responsible for building and maintaining a high-performance, secure, multi-cloud, multi-cluster distributed system with emphasis on Kubernetes, IaC/CI-CD, observability, and incident response in a fast-growing AI contracts platform.

Responsibilities

  • Run Kubernetes like it's your own startup within the startup. Own multi-cluster, multi-region deployments across AWS/GCP/Azure, with failover and disaster recovery that actually works when it matters (not just on paper)
  • Build internal tools for creating and managing clusters so dev to production is consistent
  • Design and manage isolated workloads for ML vs API traffic to balance cost, performance, and reliability
  • Implement security practices (RBAC, workload identity, secrets management, data residency, audit trails)
  • Create honest SLO/SLIs that are enforceable
  • Own pipelines (GitHub Actions for CI/CD and Pulumi for IaC)
  • Manage Docker environments across dev, staging, and prod
  • Be proficient at debugging infrastructure across frontend, backend, etc.
  • Make engineering faster through automation of repetitive tasks
  • Own uptime and observability across the system
  • Lead incident response and write postmortems to drive learning and improvement

Qualifications

  • Kubernetes expert (deep knowledge, not just deployment)
  • IaC and CI/CD experience (Pulumi or Terraform, Docker, GitHub Actions) across multi-cluster, multi-region setups
  • Systems thinking with focus on failure modes and resilience
  • Understanding of how contracts impact infrastructure; compliance and legal constraints translate into engineering requirements
  • DevOps/infrastructure core with full-stack capability and strong debugging skills
  • 8+ years of experience
