About the role

Senior Infrastructure Engineer at Ivo focused on building and maintaining scalable, secure, and observable infrastructure to support high-performance, distributed AI-driven contract tooling. Emphasis on multi-cluster multi-region deployments, IaC, CI/CD, security, and incident response in a startup environment.

Responsibilities

  • Run Kubernetes like it's your own startup within the startup. Own multi-cluster, multi-region deployments across AWS/GCP/Azure, with failover and disaster recovery.
  • Tools for infra. Build internal tools for creating and managing clusters so dev to production is consistent.
  • Isolated workloads. Design strategy balancing cost, performance, and reliability for ML vs API traffic.
  • Security. Implement RBAC, workload identity, secrets management, data residency, and audit trails.
  • Honest SLO/SLIs. Create targets that are enforceable and practical.
  • Own pipelines. GitHub Actions for CI/CD and Pulumi for IaC.
  • Docker environments. Across dev, staging, and prod.
  • Bugs. Infra should be detective level good at finding bugs across the engineering environment.
  • Make engineering faster. Automate repetitive tasks to speed up builds and improve environments.
  • Own uptime. Observability and visibility ownership.
  • Learn and lead when things go wrong. Run incident response and write actionable postmortems.

Qualifications

  • Kubernetes expert (deep knowledge, not just deployment)
  • IaC and CI/CD experience. Pulumi or Terraform, Docker, GitHub Actions, multi-cluster/multi-region setups
  • Systematic failure-mode thinking and proactive design for when things break
  • Understanding contract-driven compliance and legal constraints in engineering
  • DevOps/infrastructure core with full-stack debugging capability; root-cause analysis to five layers deep
  • Years of experience: 5+
