About the role

Engineering Manager leading the Financial Integrity team at Rippling, responsible for building and scaling mission-critical financial systems with a founder’s mindset, focusing on reliability, scalability, and collaboration with Product and Business leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Lead & Empower: Build, mentor, and inspire a team of passionate engineers known for taking ownership and driving end-to-end impact.
  • Architect & Execute: Stay hands-on with technical design, code reviews, and system architecture to ensure the delivery of resilient, complex distributed systems.
  • Act Like an Owner: Bring a founder’s mindset to challenge conventional approaches, identify growth opportunities, and define the technical roadmap across Risk and Compliance in close partnership with Product and Business leadership.
  • Raise the Engineering Bar: Enforce engineering best practices, foster a high-performance culture of accountability, and champion automated solutions that boost operational efficiency.
  • Scale for Growth: Build scalable systems and team structures that enable the organization to grow smoothly alongside expanding business demands.

Qualifications

  • Technical Foundation: deep hands-on technical experience with ability to guide and review effectively.
  • Team development skills: ability to set roadmap/goals, delegate, provide feedback, and grow team members.
  • Product Development Experience: hands-on experience building scalable products end-to-end and delivering projects of varying scale.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: proven ability to work with cross-functional teams domestically and internationally.
  • Execution-Driven: clear ability to set up roadmaps, milestones, and drive outcomes.
  • Experience Range: minimum 2-3 years in a managerial role and 7-8 years as an Individual Contributor, total 8–12 years of engineering experience.
