About the role

Graduate Software Engineer at Wayflyer, hybrid role based in Dublin. You will work end-to-end on features across the system—from data models and API to user-facing screens—writing tests, participating in code reviews, and driving quality and ownership.

Responsibilities

  • Own features end-to-end: work with product and design to shape solutions, build them, and ship to production, creating outcomes, not just closing tickets
  • Write clean, testable code with comprehensive unit and integration tests
  • Build new features that drive revenue and engagement, while keeping the lights on for what's already live
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation
  • Push technical discussions forward and raise the bar on quality, rather than waiting to be told what "good" looks like
  • Every feature you ship has a real person behind it, a founder waiting on funding, a brand trying to grow, so the way you build matters as much as what you build

Qualifications

  • A computer science background (or equivalent hands-on experience), with a solid grip on data structures, algorithms, and software design fundamentals
  • Comfort with Git and modern development workflows
  • Hands-on experience with Python, React (or similar), and SQL/relational databases
  • Bonus, not required: exposure to REST APIs, testing frameworks, CI/CD, cloud, or containerisation
