About the role
Senior role focused on designing, building, and iterating production AI agents and context-layer applications to power Santé’s core merchant experience, with ownership of the full model lifecycle from research to production.
Responsibilities
- Apply state-of-the-art ML and LLM techniques to merchandising intelligence, document understanding, and retrieval/ranking tasks
- Build agent capabilities on top of Santé's Manager Agent platform (task generation, review workflows, chat over store data)
- Build evaluation harness for offline and online techniques; design experiments and metrics (evals, QA playbooks, Langfuse tracing) to assess recommendation quality and merchant impact
- Own the entire model lifecycle from data analysis to deployment and monitoring; create autonomous harnesses for parallel exploration
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineers, PMs, and store owners to drive measurable merchant revenue and hours saved
- Stay at the forefront of ML/AI innovation by evaluating emerging research and integrating trends into the product lifecycle
Qualifications
- 5+ years building and shipping robust AI products for large-scale, user-facing or data-driven products
- Strong software engineering skills (TypeScript and/or Python) and production-quality codebases; experience with agentic coding tools for large-scale parallel development
- In-depth experience with the full AI lifecycle: data analysis, rigorous evaluation, and ongoing monitoring and improvement
- Proven collaborator and communicator; excels in high-velocity, cross-functional teams
- Curious and product-focused; passionate about applied ML/AI progression
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
