About the role

Lead and scale the ES AI team to reinvent the SDLC for Snowflake engineers, enabling agentic, AI-powered engineering workflows and production-ready code practices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and grow the team while creating a high-energy, cohesive environment with strong planning, ownership, and career development.
  • Deliver the vision and roadmap for transforming the SDLC for all Snowflake engineers.
  • Drive measurable improvements in code review latency, ensure Snowflake developers can use the latest harnesses and models, and create golden paths for agentic codebases.
  • Act as an agent of clarity in a fast-moving space, making high-quality decisions quickly by staying current with industry developments.
  • Own operational excellence for the area, including on-call health, incident response, postmortems, and balancing project delivery with ongoing maintenance and support work.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of software engineering experience
  • 5+ years of experience leading a technical engineering team with people leadership, roadmap ownership, and hands-on technical judgment
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with the latest AI tools, particularly in productivity space
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to align stakeholders and bring clarity to ambiguous cross-functional work
  • Pragmatic, customer-obsessed mindset and a bias for measurable impact through reliability, performance, and ease of use
  • Bonus: experience with developer productivity tooling, AI-assisted engineering workflows, and modern CI/test platform modernization efforts
