About the role

Remote role for building and implementing B2B integrations with Samsara's IoT platform for strategic customers, leading integration projects, designing technical solutions, and guiding implementation teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead system integration projects with customer development teams, Samsara’s partners, 3rd-party systems integrators or build enterprise-grade scalable solutions using Samsara’s Web integration technologies (APIs, Webhooks, Connectors, and more)
  • Design/develop/define complex project scopes, technical specifications and business requirements between Samsara and multiple stakeholders - from design through delivery and beyond
  • Plan complex projects involving multiple stakeholders, dependencies, uncertainty, risk and impact; make delivery commitments for larger projects
  • Account for maintainability, portability, scalability, and reliability in technical designs and know when to trade them for speed of delivery
  • Build robust and scalable integration architecture to solve use cases like Real-time Data Streaming, Event subscriptions, Batch processing
  • Build, test, validate, and review code to ensure completeness and high-quality deliverables
  • Advise and document best practices around integrations using Samsara APIs and products
  • Test, validate and review code to ensure completeness and quality
  • Lead by example: conduct thorough code reviews with actionable feedback
  • Exchange best practices, share knowledge with product teams and developer community, advocate for customer experience
  • Collaborate with Samsara’s Developer EcoSystem team to improve API experience and features
  • Contribute to enhancement of Professional Services methodologies and tools
  • Champion and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team)

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience designing and developing integration solutions using proven architecture methodologies
  • Experience in gathering data integration requirements and translating into technical data designs
  • Proficient in Python and at least one additional language (e.g., JavaScript, AppScript)
  • Proficient in leveraging LLM-based tools for code generation, prompt engineering, automation, and developer productivity
  • Experience with agentic workflows, including design, orchestration, and deployment of multi-agent systems for enterprise use cases
  • 3+ years hands-on experience with modern Cloud Services (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Hands-on experience building or working with RESTful APIs/Webhooks and modern databases
  • Knowledge of PowerBI/Tableau, SQL, and data visualization is a plus
  • Hands-on experience with customer evaluations and deployments and managing multiple engagements in parallel
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects with diverse stakeholders including C-Level executives
  • Strong written communication and presentation skills; ability to work with diverse teams
  • Proficient in GitHub for version control and collaboration
  • Experience with Modern Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
